Hot take: my sister watched me load the basket and asked why I was cooking for a crowd of one
I was at my sister's place in Toledo three weeks ago and made wings in her air fryer. I filled the basket almost to the top like I always do, and she stopped me and asked who else was eating. She pulled half of them out and said the ones touching just steam instead of crisping. I was skeptical, but the batch she split into two rounds came out way better than anything I had made at home, crunchy skin and no soggy spots. Since then I do chicken in two rounds and it takes maybe 6 extra minutes total. Same deal with frozen fries, one layer only, shake at the halfway point. I still stack veggies like peppers and onions since those don't need to brown much. Anyone here actually get good results with a full basket, or do you all cook in smaller batches too?
