Tweaking the temperature setting on my local AI model gave me way better results
I was trying to get my local Llama model to write a short story for a contest, but it kept giving me the same boring plots. After three days of frustration, I read a forum post that suggested changing the 'temperature' setting from the default 0.7 to 1.2. I tried it on my next prompt, and the difference was night and day. The story it generated was actually creative and had a twist I didn't see coming. It won me second place in the contest. Has anyone else found a specific setting tweak that made a big difference in output quality?

That temperature trick is a game changer. My friend was having the same issue with getting repetitive code examples. He lowered the setting way down to 0.3 for that specific task, and suddenly the AI stopped adding random, unneeded functions and gave him clean, direct solutions. It was like it finally listened.

Wait, does that work for other stuff too, like writing emails? I gotta try cranking it down next time I need a simple list or something.
