Spent $300 on an AI writing tool that just rephrased my own bad ideas

I bought a yearly subscription to a new AI writing assistant six months ago, thinking it would help me draft proposals. It just kept giving me slightly different versions of the same basic sentences I typed in. I realized after a few projects that it wasn't creating anything new, just shuffling my own words around. That $300 basically paid for a fancy thesaurus I never use. Has anyone found an AI tool that actually helps with creative structure, not just rewording?

My buddy wasted cash on something similar, just got back polished garbage.

I had a local guy do my truck's chrome once, charged me 400 bucks. It started peeling after two months, looked worse than when I dropped it off. Some of these places just spray a cheap clear coat and call it a day. Your buddy probably got the same treatment. Always ask for before and after pics from real customers, not just the ones on their website.
