Prompt masking fixed my lighting issue in one night

Kept getting hands with six fingers and weird shadows on faces. Tried negative prompts, tried seed locking, nothing worked for two weeks. Then I started masking the whole body region and generating the face separately before stitching it in. That trick cut my bad outputs from 8 out of 10 down to 2 out of 10. Anyone else using layer-based generation instead of full prompts?

That masking trick sounds like way more work but honestly if it works, it works. I've seen people get decent results just by controlling the prompt better but your method makes sense for stubborn stuff like hands. I'd rather stitch two images than trash ten bad ones.
