Blew $140 on a prompt pack that promised museum quality prints, now I'm stuck arguing with myself about whether the output is even art
Honestly I want to lay out both sides here because I can't decide which one I'm on. Six weeks ago I paid $140 for a pack of 300 curated prompts from a guy on Twitter who posts these wild painterly portraits, and about 20 of them gave me anything decent, the rest just made the same shiny cartoon face over and over. Side A says the images I got are real art because I picked the prompt, tweaked it, and picked the final frame out of forty tries, so my choices did the work. Side B says a slot machine pays out too, and me hitting refresh until something looks good isn't the same as a painter working a canvas for 30 hours. I'm out $140 and still can't tell if I got scammed or just paid for a tool I don't know how to use. Tbh the part that bugs me most is I could have typed my own prompts for free and spent the money on a print. Which side do you land on, is curating output art or is the machine doing the whole job?
