Passed the same burnt out farmhouse in Iowa for 5 years, finally stopped and the front porch told a whole story
The first time I drove past it outside Sioux City I just slowed down and kept going, but after maybe 15 trips to see my brother I finally pulled over and walked the whole place. What got me was the porch swing still hanging there with the chain rusted into the hook, and a kid's chalk drawing on the concrete from who knows how long ago, versus the brand new No Trespassing sign the county slapped on the door. Does anyone else feel weird shooting a place that clearly still has somebody's stuff in it, or is that part of it for you too?
