Graffiti vs. History at the old Packard Plant, who wins?

Went to the Packard Plant in Detroit last month. Saw this one wall with original 1950s paint peeling next to a full color mural someone did last year. Some people say tagging ruins the story, others say it keeps the place alive. I got a good shot of both for my album. Which side are you on, clean decay or fresh layers?
