Got chased out of the old Waverly Hills sanatorium wing by a squatter around 2am
I was three rooms deep in the old TB wing at Waverly Hills in Louisville last October shooting long exposures when a guy with a flashlight came out of a side room and started yelling at me to leave. I grabbed my tripod and booked it back down the tunnel, and he didn't follow past the main hallway, which makes me think he didn't want to leave his setup either. Has anyone else run into someone living in a spot you were shooting, and did you just leave or try to talk to them?
Bailing was the right call, but not because you owed him anything. A guy willing to live in a condemned TB ward and scream at strangers in the dark is not someone you try to reason with at 2am, and you learned that fast. Some places have people in them, legal or not, and the photos aren't worth finding out how far he'll chase you.
