Appreciation post: my grandpa's 1957 bowling league photo finally got names

Last week my mom handed me a box of old slides and this one from a men's league in Akron caught my eye. The back had "1957, team champs" but no names, so I posted it to a local history group on Facebook. Within 2 days a guy named Bob recognized his dad in the second row and confirmed three other guys from the bowling alley's old scorebooks. Now I'm trying to track down the trophy in the photo, the one with the little gold bowler on top, to see if it's still in someone's basement. Has anyone else had luck identifying people from old sports or club photos using local groups? My grandpa's the one holding the ball, and I'd love to add real names to the rest before I frame it.

My uncle's old high school football team photo got solved the same way, a guy in a city history group knew half the lineup from his dad's scrapbook. That trophy hunt sounds like a fun rabbit hole, hope you find it.
