How a simple shelf fix cut down my prep time

I was always wasting minutes looking for the right color tubes. So I bought a cheap shelf unit and sorted everything by color group. Now I have all my warm tones on one side and cools on the other. It sounds basic, but it really speeds up my process when clients are waiting.

Yeah, organizing by color group is a game changer. I started using clear bins for each section so I can see everything at a glance. Saves me so much hassle during busy sessions.

Doesn't that method get messy with lots of similar colors?

Dude yes! @williams.joel you nailed it with the clear bins thing. I did the exact same thing after I got my shelf set up. The warm/cool split works great but once you start adding more colors the edges get blurry. I grabbed some stackable clear containers and now all my burnt oranges and brick reds live together right next to the warm browns. It's so much easier to grab a whole handful of similar tones when a client says "give me something earthy." That system saved me on a big group booking last week for sure.
