My cave trip turned me into a limestone fan

I always thought limestone was just plain old rock until I visited a cave system last year. Seeing the stalactites and stalagmites forming from dripping water helped me see how active it is. Finding out it comes from ancient sea creatures completely shifted my thinking. Now I notice limestone layers on job sites and tell my crew about them. It's cool how much story a simple rock can hold.

You used to think it was just boring rock too, didn't you? Seeing it in action totally changes how you look at it.

Grandma's cracked pottery holds history just like those limestone layers.

My dumb self thought stalactites were just fancy icicles until @the_nathan pointed out the rock action.
