Fixing my leaky garden hose nozzle changed how I see water use.
Honestly, I never paid attention to the constant drip from my hose. Tbh, after wrapping the threads with plumber's tape, the leak stopped completely. I checked last month's water use and it was way lower. Now I'm fixing all the small leaks around the house to save more.

Ha, this is way too relatable! I only noticed my own hose was spraying everywhere last week, like it was trying to water the whole neighborhood by itself.

Tighten the hose where it meets the spigot first, @caseyh97. That spray often comes from a loose connection or a worn out washer. Swap in a new rubber washer if the old one is cracked or mashed down. It should seal up and stop wasting water all over the place.

Ever wonder if hoses get bored just sitting around? Mine clearly decided to become a backyard fountain instead. Guess it's tired of the normal hose life.
