Pro tip: I was tracking the wrong metric for my Portland bakery's Instagram ads

I kept looking at likes, but my friend pointed out that the only number that mattered was the 15% increase in online orders from the ad link. Anyone else have a metric they were watching that turned out to be useless?

Likes are still super important though. They show people are actually seeing and engaging with your content, which builds a brand over time. You can't just ignore that social proof.

We measure the wrong things everywhere, not just ads.
