Unpopular opinion: I had no idea diesel injectors could fail just from bad fuel until my '97 7.3 dumped black smoke at a stoplight in Chattanooga last Tuesday.
Threw a code and found out the injection pump was pulling water from a 6-month-old tank at a station off I-75, has anyone else gotten screwed by a random gas station's storage tank?

A lot of those older stations let their tanks sit too long without testing. You might have better luck sticking with busy truck stops on the highway where their diesel turns over faster.
