Can we talk about those counterfeit fuel filters floating around?

Last month I grabbed a cheap filter for my Cummins off a third-party site and it collapsed inside the housing after just 200 miles, has anyone else seen these junk parts ruin a pump?

Picked up a cheap filter for my Ford from some random seller and a buddy of mine ended up with metal shavings in his injection pump after the filter came apart. Took out the whole fuel system, cost him 3 grand to fix it. Those knockoff filters are straight garbage, don't risk your truck to save 20 bucks.

Damn @kim.wren that's brutal, cheaping out on fuel filters is definitely not worth it when one bad one can total your whole injection system. Always buy quality filters no matter what, even OEM or name brand ones are way cheaper than a 3k repair bill.
