Just hit $500 in cashback rewards and it felt unreal
I've been stacking cashback through my regular grocery and gas purchases for about 14 months now, never checking the balance. Logged in yesterday and saw the $500.73 mark, which is basically a free week of groceries for my family. Anyone else let their rewards build up for a long stretch before cashing out?
Different take here. $500 sounds great but that money couldve been earning interest in a savings account or paying down a card balance the whole time. Rewards programs are designed to make you spend more, not save more. Plus, if the app glitches or the program changes terms, you might lose it all. Cash out monthly, even if it's $35, and put it to work.
