I was wrong about thermal paste on old CPUs

For years I refused to repaste anything older than a Core 2 Duo, figured the factory goop was fine. Last weekend I finally did my old Pentium 4 build with some Arctic MX-4 and the idle temp dropped from 78C to 61C in a 1998 beige tower. That 17C swing shut me up fast. Anyone else skip repasting on their sleepers and regret it later?
