Am I the only one who didn't know sleeper builds are this old? Saw a 1994 Gateway 2000 case at a swap meet in Denver.
I was at a computer swap meet in Denver last month and this guy had a 1994 Gateway 2000 full tower for $15. He pulled the side panel and it had a Ryzen 7 and an RTX 4070 crammed in there with a dremel cut for the GPU. I always figured sleepers started with people reusing old beige boxes from the early 2000s, so seeing a case from the Pentium era with modern gear kinda blew my mind. He said he paid $40 for the case shipped from a listing in Ohio and cut the front bezel himself for airflow. How far back do you guys go with donor cases, like are there people doing 486 towers or is that just asking for trouble?
