Got norovirus on day 3 of a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise out of Galveston

I'm still mad about this and it was 6 weeks ago. We boarded in Galveston on a Saturday, and by Monday night I was hugging the toilet in cabin 8421 while the ship rocked through a storm. My wife paid $340 for the drink package and I couldn't even keep water down, let alone a margarita. They put a sign on our door and a crew member came by twice a day with disinfectant, and I watched them wipe the same handrail by the elevator for the 14th time. The buffet tongs at the Windjammer are where I think I got it, because I saw a guy cough into his hand and grab the bread right after. Now I bring my own hand sanitizer, wipe down the remote and phone, and eat only at the sit down spots. Does anyone else avoid the buffet on day one or is that just me being paranoid now?
