Update: load chart said 8,000 lbs but the boom tip was lagging on the Toledo job
We were setting a rooftop unit on a 6-story in Toledo when the boom tip started lagging behind the swing about 2 feet, so I stopped the pick, checked the anti-two-block, found the wire rope had jumped a sheave in the boom head, and called the lift off until maintenance re-seated it, which cost us a half shift but saved the load, and now I'm wondering if any of you have caught that same sheave jump before it got worse.
