I finally found the setting that makes split screen games playable on a 4K TV
Most people leave their TV in game mode and still wonder why split screen feels choppy. The real issue is the TV is upscaling the two smaller images and adding input lag on top of it. I turned off noise reduction and set my picture to game mode on the HDMI input itself, not the main menu, and Rocket League couch matches went from unplayable to smooth. Took me 3 tries to find it on my Vizio because the setting is buried under the input options. Has anyone else had to dig around for per input settings or is that just my TV?
