Warning: my takeoff software showed 14% more concrete than the site plan actually needed

I found out last week that the automated takeoff tool I've been using for 2 years calculates from the dwg linework, not the actual slab edge notes, so I've been over-ordering on every job since I switched. Has anyone else caught this kind of mismatch between the software numbers and the stamped drawings, or am I just dealing with a bad file setup?
