Finally figured out why our submittal log kept getting mangled

After 4 months of chasing ghost errors in Procore, I realized the issue was people typing in the date field with slashes instead of using the calendar picker. It messed up every sort and review deadline we set, and nobody caught it because the entry still looked fine on screen. I sat down with the foreman last Tuesday and walked through 15 examples side by side, and he admitted he never knew the field had a dropdown. We added a strict format note to the field label and it's been 2 weeks with zero mistakes. Has anyone else dealt with data entry habits wrecking their software reports, or am I the only one babysitting this stuff?
