I was looking at the old photos of the Denver airport murals from 1995 and the ones they have now
The old ones had way more weird symbols and that creepy gargoyle statue, but after the 9/11 stuff, they painted over a bunch of it and took the statue down. It makes you wonder if they were told to make it less spooky because of all the conspiracy talk. Did the airport just get tired of the rumors, or was there more to it?

Wait, the timeline is a bit off. The big changes to the murals and the removal of the gargoyle statue, which was actually named "Blucifer," happened way before 9/11. That stuff went down in the early 1990s, right when the airport first opened. The artist, Luis Jimenez, even died in an accident with the statue in 2006. The conspiracy theories were already going strong from day one, so the airport didn't change things because of 9/11 rumors. They just tried to make the place feel less intense for travelers over many years.
