Serious question, I went with a cheap KVM switch over a second monitor and I'm starting to regret it

Spent $25 on a no-name KVM to share one monitor between client machines at my bench instead of dropping $150 on a second display, and now I'm crawling under the desk twice a day because it drops the USB signal every time I switch, so has anyone found a KVM that actually holds up or should I just eat the cost of a real monitor?
