Shoutout to the ziptie trick for stuck dump valves
Was working a bridge inspection job near Portland last spring. Getting out of a 24 inch pipe and my main dump valve just seized up solid. Salt water had corroded the handle something fierce. Tried wrenches, tried penetrating oil, nothing moved. Then a old timer showed me to wrap a heavy ziptie around the stem and use it as a makeshift puller. Popped loose after 2 tugs. Anyone else got a weird field fix that saved them a trip topside?

I used to think those were just for cable management but that's actually genius.

Totally agree, that's a simple trick I never thought of.
