People keep calling sprite sheets "texture packs" and it drives me nuts
I was in a Doom modding Discord last weekend and this guy shared his new weapon sprites calling them a "texture pack update." Textures are for walls and floors, not for the shotgun or imp sprites! I've been modding Quake since 2009 and I learned the hard way when I uploaded a map pack with the wrong labels and got roasted. Has anyone else noticed modders mixing up these terms way more lately?

Bethesda's official documentation calls them textures for everything since 2016.

Actually, that's not quite right. The 2016 documentation you're referencing was for the Creation Kit and specifically called them "texture sets" which is a different thing from just "textures." I've been modding Bethesda games since Morrowind and the official terminology changed depending on which system you're looking at. In the actual game files, the .dds files are still called textures while the .bgsm and .bgem files are materials. Even in Starfield, the material files reference texture paths but the engine treats them as separate systems. Have you looked at the actual file structure in xEdit or the CK?
