Am I the only one who fixed a dead laptop by baking the motherboard in an oven?
My 2015 ThinkPad T450 stopped turning on, just a black screen and the fan spinning. I had nothing to lose so I pulled the board, set it on foil balls in a baking sheet, and cooked it at 385 degrees for 8 minutes like some old forum post from 2011 said. Let it cool for 30 minutes, put it back together, and it booted right up and has been running for 3 weeks now. Has anyone else tried the oven trick, and did yours last or die again a month later?
