Holy COW! My buddy who installs carpet told me about a customer who NAILED his own SWEATSHIRT to the floor trying to hold the padding in place. They had to stop everything and carefully pry it up with a crowbar. The man kept saying he saw it on a HOME IMPROVEMENT video online. Some people just have the CRAZIEST ideas when they try to help out.

When he said he saw it on a home improvement video online, that's the part that kills me. Did your buddy ask what channel or site it was? I'm curious if it was one of those DIY fails compilations or an actual tutorial gone wrong. Sometimes people mix up steps or take advice too literally, but nailing clothing to the floor is a new one.
