That $50 knee kicker I bought off Amazon was a total disaster
I figured I'd save a few bucks and grabbed a cheap knee kicker online instead of dropping $150 on a decent one from the supply house. First big job in Phoenix last month, the teeth slipped and I ripped a 12-foot seam right down the middle of a brand new plush carpet. Has anyone else tried to cheap out on gear and ended up paying way more to fix the mess?

My wallet's still mad at me for thinking I could outsmart the carpet gods with a budget buy. Tried a $40 knockoff stretcher once and it folded like a cheap lawn chair on a hot day. That lesson cost me a whole living room redo, so now I just pretend the fancy tools are therapy for my mistakes.
