My wife asked why we never have nice rugs at home

She said, 'You lay down perfect carpet for strangers all day, but our living room has that old mat from 2010.' It hit me because she's right, I'm always saving the good stuff for the job. Anyone else's family give them grief about their own floors?

Wait, you still have the same rug from 2010? That's the real shocker here. My dog would have destroyed that thing by 2012. You must have a very polite family.

Oh man, @troy996, you have no idea! That rug has seen things. We just got really lucky with a super lazy dog who mostly napped on it. The real secret is a strict "no snacks on the rug" rule that we all, mostly, follow. It's got a few stains that tell their own stories, but it's hanging in there!
