Had to pick between a power stretcher and a knee kicker for a tricky hallway job

Went with the power stretcher and it made a huge difference on the 15 foot run. The seams stayed tight and the client in Oak Park said it looked perfect. Anyone have a go-to method for those narrow spaces?

Yeah, MichaelNguyen is right about those wrinkles. I've seen the same thing on long hallways where the knee kicker just can't keep up. The power stretcher pulls from the far wall, so the tension is locked in before you even start kicking. It's the only way to handle a run over about 12 feet without getting those loose spots in the middle. Makes the whole job look pro.

You mentioning the 15 foot run is key. I was a die-hard knee kicker guy for years, but a long hallway like that changed my mind. The power stretcher just keeps the tension even in a way I can't match by hand.

Exactly. Long runs show the tool's real value. My knee kicker left a wrinkle every eight feet on a big job. The power stretcher just lays it flat all the way across.
