The week every out-of-square wall finally bit me back
Last March I was trimming out a 1920s reno in Portland and lost 3 full days fighting door casings that were off by nearly an inch because the framers had just shimmed everything instead of fixing the rough openings, so has anyone else ever just walked away from a job over bad rough framing and let someone else deal with it?

bit me back" is right, that kind of slop just compounds. I'd rather eat the loss on materials than spend three days making garbage look decent. Walked off a similar one years ago, no regrets. The next guy got paid double and still cursed my name, so it all worked out. Bad rough framing is a cancer, you gotta cut it out fast.
