Talking with a finish carpenter in Portland changed my tape measure habit

He told me he never calls out measurements in 16ths anymore, just rounds to the closest 8th and lets the saw do the work. I tried it on a cabinet face frame yesterday and it saved me maybe 20 minutes of squinting at marks. Anyone else ditch the fine fractions after years of chasing them?
