Rant: a guy at the lumber yard in Bend told me biscuit joints are for hobbyists, and I can't let it go
Was picking up a sheet of 3/4 birch ply at the yard off Highway 20 last Friday and some retiree behind me in line said biscuit joints are what guys use when they can't cut a real joint. I've hung cabinets with biscuits for 11 years and never had a single one fail, so I just nodded and paid. But now every time I fire up the plate joiner I hear his voice. Anyone here actually had a biscuit joint let go on them, or is this just old timer gatekeeping?
