My old boss told me to stop sanding past 120 grit on pine trim, and he was right
I was talking to him at the lumber yard last Thursday about a mantel I'm building and he said the extra sanding was just burning through my time and mudding up the grain. Knocked out the whole piece in 2 hours instead of the 5 it took me last month. Anyone else had a finish guy tell them to quit polishing before stain?
