Rant: my tarp blew off in a windstorm and now my 68 Mustang is covered in tree sap
I keep my 68 Mustang under a cheap $40 tarp behind my garage in Boise because I don't have a carport. Last Tuesday we got 50 mph gusts and the tarp came loose, so the car sat bare for two days while I was out of town. Came home to pine sap baked onto the hood and roof, plus a bunch of needles stuck in the cowl vent. Now I'm looking at a clay bar kit and a lot of hours, or paying a detail shop like $300. Anybody got a tarp setup that actually stays put in high wind, or should I just bite the bullet on a real cover?
