DAE think a drop of super glue on a stripped tripod screw is a fix or a crime?
Had a customer's old Minolta tripod mount with threads so stripped the plate spun loose, so I put one tiny drop of gel super glue on the screw and let it set 10 minutes before backing it out with a rubber band for grip. It came out clean and the new screw went in fine, but a guy at my local shop in Denver told me I was nuts and should have drilled it instead. Is glue a real trick you all use, or am I setting up the next guy for a disaster?
