Pro tip: ditch the zip ties, velcro straps actually changed my setup

I zip tied every cord behind my desk for 2 years because it was cheap and felt permanent, but every time I swapped a mouse or moved my monitor I had to cut them all and start over. A guy in a Reddit thread told me zip ties are for people who never plan to change anything, and he was right, so I grabbed a $9 roll of velcro straps and redid the whole thing in about 20 minutes. Has anyone else switched and noticed it actually keeps things just as tidy, or am I fooling myself?
