My dovetail gaps went from a dime to a hair in 4 months
I built a small walnut drawer last fall and the corner gaps were bad enough that I could slide a dime right through them. Did 30 practice joints on scrap poplar over the winter, mostly focusing on sawing to the line instead of past it, and last night's drawer corner in maple came out tight enough that I had to hold it up to the light to see anything. Keeping the same dull-ish saw and just slowing down made more difference than any new tool. How long did it take you folks before your joints stopped needing filler?
