Dropped $340 on a Domino XL and I still think the biscuit joiner guys are right
Everyone in my shop swears you need a floating tenon machine for face frames, but I built cabinets for 11 years with a $90 biscuit joiner and none of them came apart. The Domino is fast, sure, but at $340 plus $95 for a box of tenons it hasn't made a single joint stronger than a glued biscuit and a screw through the rail. Anybody here actually seen a biscuit joint fail on a cabinet that wasn't dropped off a truck?
