My agent in Phoenix kept pushing me to waive the inspection to 'win' a house

Honestly, we were looking at a place listed for $425k and she said 'just skip it, everyone else is.' Tbh, I walked away from that deal and found a different agent. Ngl, it felt like she cared more about her commission than my safety. Has anyone else had an agent try to talk them out of a basic check like that?

Used to believe skipping inspections was just how the game was played. Then my cousin bought a place where a hidden roof leak caused mold in the walls. Their repair bill was more than my car. Changed my whole view. A good agent should protect you from that kind of disaster, not push you toward it.

But sometimes you gotta take a risk to even get a house... the market's so crazy that waving inspections is the only way your offer gets seen. A good agent's job is to get you the keys, not scare you off with every possible what-if. Yeah, a leak is bad, but that's what home warranties are for, right? You could spend your whole life looking for the perfect, problem-free house and never buy anything.
