My kitchen faucet swap turned into a 3 hour flood because of one stupid washer
Last Saturday I figured replacing the kitchen faucet would take 45 minutes, so I shut off the valve under the sink and got to work. Turns out that valve was so old it snapped in my hand, and water started spraying everywhere while I ran around the basement looking for the main shutoff. Has anyone else had a "quick" swap turn into a plumbing disaster, or is it just me who never checks the shutoff valves first?
