I finally stopped using duct tape on pipe leaks after seeing what my neighbor did in Tulsa
Last Saturday I helped my neighbor fix a leak under his kitchen sink in Tulsa and he pulled out a proper wrench and some plumber's tape instead of the duct tape I always grab. I had been slapping duct tape on my own pipes for like 3 years and just calling it fixed every time it dripped again. His repair took maybe 10 minutes and he said the tape wrap would have cost him a whole cabinet floor in a month or two. Mine had already warped the wood under my sink and I never even noticed until I looked after watching him. So what is the worst thing you have ever duct taped and pretended was fixed?
