Held a candle under a stuck PVC joint and it slid right off, no hacksaw needed
Kitchen sink drain arm was cemented solid, so I figured I'd cut it and rebuild the whole trap. My neighbor Ray said try heat first, so I waved a candle under the fitting for maybe 45 seconds and it twisted free by hand. I stood there in my Newark basement holding two clean pipes feeling like a wizard. What's the dumbest trick you almost skipped that ended up working?
