Warned my business partner not to sign a 3 year fiber deal with a local reseller, now I owe him an apology
Six months back a rep from a smaller provider walked into our shop in Boise and pitched us 500/500 fiber for $289 a month with no install fee. I told my partner it was a trap, that the price would jump after year one and we would be stuck. We signed anyway because our old cable line was dropping 4 or 5 times a day and costing us card sales. Turns out the service has been rock solid, we have had maybe one outage since March, and the bill has not moved a dollar. The only catch is they outsource support, so when our firewall needed a static IP change it took two days and three calls. I was wrong about the price hike part but right about the support part. Anyone else running a smaller regional fiber provider for their storefront, and did your rate hold after the first year?
