The IT guy at my dad's shop said our 6 Mbps DSL line was fine, and I still think about it
I was at my dad's hardware shop on Grand Ave in St. Paul helping him set up a second register, and his IT guy swore the 6 Mbps DSL line could handle two terminals plus card payments. Two weeks later the card reader timed out on a Saturday rush and we lost about $400 in sales before it came back. Turned out the upload speed was under 1 Mbps, which nobody had ever checked. Has anyone here had a vendor insist a slow business line was fine right up until it cost you money?
