Guy at the Truck Stop in Amarillo Told Me His Son's Prebuilt Died in 4 Months, Here's What I Told Him
Was grabbing coffee last week and this older guy starts complaining that his kid's $1,200 prebuilt from a big box store crapped out after 4 months because the power supply was some no name 500 watt unit that took the motherboard with it. I told him for that same money he could've picked parts with his son and built something that would actually last, and the kid would know how to fix it when something does go bad. We ended up writing a parts list on a napkin right there. What's the first thing you'd tell a total beginner who's scared to build their own?
