TIL I've been mounting my PSU upside down in every build since 2019
I pulled apart my old NZXT H510 build from 2019 to move it into a new case and noticed my power supply fan had been facing up into the case this whole time. I always thought the fan should point up so it could pull hot air out, but a guy at Micro Center in Columbus told me it just sucks case air straight back into the PSU and dumps heat inside. My temps dropped about 6C on the GPU once I flipped it fan-down in the new case. Now I'm second guessing every build I've handed to friends over the years, so tell me I'm not the only one who had this backwards.
