Pro tip: skip the $30 RGB fan hub, I fried two fans learning this

Grabbed a cheap 6-port RGB hub off a site with no name for my new build so all my fans would match, and it worked great for about 5 weeks. Then it started flickering, and one night it sent full power down the wrong wire and killed two of my $25 fans plus a header on my board. Ended up paying $85 to replace everything and now I just run the fans straight off the board with a splitter. Anyone got a hub brand that has not tried to burn their rig down?
